- उद्देश्य (Object):-
Consistency Test of Cement सीमेन्ट का सामान्य सघनता (गाढ़ापन) परीक्षण
- सिद्धान्त (Theory):-
सीमेन्ट का पेस्ट बनाने तथा जलयोजन क्रिया (Hydration of Cement) के लिये, इसमें पानी मिलाना पड़ता है। पानी की यह मात्रा उपयुक्त होनी चाहिये। पानी कम होने पर सीमेन्ट मसाला (या कंक्रीट) सुकर (Workable) नहीं बनती है और अधिक पानी होने पर उत्स्रवण (Bleeding) होती है। सीमेन्ट में जल की मात्रा बड़े मायने रखती है (जल-सीमेन्ट अनुपात कंक्रीट तकनीकी का एक महत्त्वपूर्ण प्रकरण है)। यहाँ पर यह स्पष्ट करना आवश्यक है कि सीमेन्ट व अन्य परीक्षणों (निर्दोषता, जमाव काल, सम्पीडन एवं तनन सामर्थ्य ज्ञात करना) को सम्पन्न करने से पहले सामान्य सघनता (गाढ़ापन) परीक्षण करना आवश्यक है,
क्योंकि इस परीक्षण द्वारा ज्ञात पानी की प्रतिशत मात्रा, इन परीक्षणों का आधार बनती है।
सीमेट के भार के आधार पर पानी की वह प्रतिशत मात्रा, जिसे सीमेन्ट में मिलाने पर ऐसी सघनता वाला पेस्ट उपलब्ध हो, कि विकाट उपकरण का प्लंजर (10 mm) सांचे में भरे सीमेन्ट पेस्ट में 33 से 35 mm की गहराई तक धँस जाये (अथवा साँचे को तली से 7 mm से 5 mm ऊपर ही रुक जाये)।
इस परीक्षण से ज्ञात पानी की प्रतिशत मात्रा को P से प्रदर्शित करते हैं । सामान्यत: मानक पेस्ट के लिये सीमेन्ट के भार का 25 से 30% पानी पर्याप्त रहता है।
- सामग्री (Material):-
- सीमेन्ट (प्रतिदर्श) लगभग 2 kg
- साफ पानी।
- उपकरण (Apparatus) :-
- विकाट उपकरण-प्लंजर व सूई सहित (प्लजर का व्यास 10 mm, लम्बाई 50mm और संलग्नक सहित भार 300 ग्राम (IS:5513-1976)
- सांचा 80 mm व्यास व ऊँचाई 40 mm (सिलिण्डरी छन्त्रक प्रकार का दो भाग वाला स्पलिट साँचा, जिस पर एक रिंग चढ़ा रहता है)
- काँच की दो प्लेटे (माप 10 cm x 10 em) (20) करनी (210 ग्राम वाली) (Trowel-IS : 10086-1982)
- मापन सिलिण्डर (500ml)
- तुला (क्षमता एक किग्रा)
- तामचीनी की ट्रे (Tray)
- मानक स्पेचूला (Spatula)
- विराम घड़ी (Stop watch)
- तापमापक (Thermometer)
- विधि ( METHOD):-
- विकाट उपकरण की उर्ध्वाधर चलायमान छड़ की तली पर प्लंजर कस दे और आधार पर काँच की प्लेट रखें।
- प्लंजर को काँच की प्लेट से स्पर्श कराये और उपकरण पर लगे पैमाने के संकेतक (Indicator) को शून्य (Zero) पर ले आयें।
- 400 gm सीसेन्ट (प्रतिदर्श) शुद्धता से तोल कर ट्रे में डाले और इसमें भार अनुसार 25% अर्थात (400×25)/100= 100ml पानी डालें और स्पेचूला से अच्छी तरह मिलायें ताकि समान सघनता वाला पेस्ट बन जाये।
- (सीमेन्ट में पानी मिलाना, पेस्ट बनाना तथा साँचे में भरना, यह सभी क्रियायें 3 में 5 मिनट में पूर्ण करें।)
- साँचे को काँच की प्लेट पर रखकर, इसमें उपरोक्त सीमेन्ट पेस्ट ऊपर तक करनी से अच्छी तरह भर दें। करनी की धार से अतिरिक्त पेस्ट हटाकर सतह समतल कर ले ।
- साँचे को काँच की प्लेट सहित प्लंजर के नीचे रखें और प्लंजर को पेस्ट की ऊपरी सतह से धीरे से सटाये (छूये) और धँसन के लिये एकदम छोड़ दें।
- प्लंजर सीमेंट पेस्ट में कुछ गहरायी तक धंस जायेगा जब प्लंजर का धँसना रुक जाये, संकेतक (पैमाना) को पढ़ें और पाठ्यांक तालिका में भर लें।
- अब पानी की अलग-अलग मात्रा (जैसे 28%, 30% ….) लेकर नया सीमेन्ट पेस्ट बनाये और साँचे में भरकर उपरोक्त क्रिया दोहरायें और पैमाने पर पाठ्यांक पढ़ें।
- जब प्लंजर साँचे की तल से 5mm-7mm ऊपर ही रुक जाये, वह सीमेन्ट पेस्ट मानक सघनता वाला माना जायेगा और उस पेस्ट के लिये मिलाये गये पानी की प्रतिशत में मात्रा अपनायी जायेगी।
- प्रेक्षण (OBSERVATION):-

- परिणाम(Result):-
- जाँच संख्या-में प्लंजर साँचे की तली से 5 mm-7mm ऊपर रुक गया है, जो स्वीकार्य है।
- अतः सामान्य सघनता के पेस्ट के लिये पानी का % ……हैं।
NOTE:-सामान्य सघनता के पेस्ट के लिये पानी की मात्र 25%-30% है|
- सावधानियाँ (precautions):-
- परीक्षण के समय सीमेन्ट, पानी व कमरे का तापमान (27°C ±2°C) होना चाहिये।
- परीक्षण शुरू करने से पहले, उपकरण का प्लंजर कांच को प्लेट को स्पर्श करने पर.पैमाना शून्यांक दर्शये।
- पेस्ट में घुसाने से पहले प्लंजर को साफ कर लें।
- जा साँचे में पेस्ट भरने के लिये करनी का इस्तेमाल करें।
- पेस्ट बनाने के लिये साफ पानी प्रयोग करें।
