चालनी विश्लेषण से सीमेन्ट की सूक्ष्मता की जाँच
- उद्देश्य (Object):-
मानक (I.S)चालनी से छान कर सीमेन्ट की सुक्ष्मता ( महीनपन ) ज्ञात करना|
- सिद्धान्त (Theory):-
सीमेन्ट समान रूप से महीन पिसा होना चाहिये। सीमेन्ट जितना सूक्ष्म (महीन) पिसा होगा, पानी मिलाने पर उसमें रासायनिक क्रिया (जलयोजन) उतनी ही शीघ्र व उत्तम होती है और सीमेन्ट (मसाला अथवा कंक्रीट) शीघ्र बल ग्रहण करती है। महीन सीमेन्ट मिलावे की अधिक सतह को घेरता है। मोटे सीमेन्ट के लिये अधिक पानी चाहिये। परन्तु सीमेन्ट की सूक्ष्मता की एक सीमा है। अधिक महीन सीमेन्ट महँगा पड़ता है, इसका संकुचन अधिक होता है और वायु के सम्पर्क में आने पर अतिशीघ्र जमने लगता है। अत: सीमेन्ट की सूक्ष्मता की जांच अत्यन्त आवश्यक है।
B.I.S. के अनुसार सीमेन्ट के कणों का माप 75µ से 150µ के मध्य होना चाहिये।
Note:- (Imm-1000µ माइक्रोन)।
- सामग्री (Materials):-
- सीमेन्ट के ढेर या लाट (Lot) से लगभग 400 ग्राम सीमेन्ट (दो-तीन ट्राइल के लिये) ले
- और इसे परीक्षण समय तक वायुरोधक डिब्बे में रखें।
उपकरण(Apparatus):-
Sieve Analysis
- 200 ग्राम क्षमता वाली तुला तथा आवश्यक बाट,
- 90 माइक्रोन (1) माप की I.S. चालनी (नं०9 चालनी),
- ट्रे (Tray) 30 cm x 30 cm,
- 25 या 40 mm का कड़े बालों वाला बुश (Brush), जिसका हैण्डल 25cm लम्बा हो।
- विधि(Method):-
- 100 ग्राम सीमेन्ट शुद्धता से तोल लें। यदि सीमेन्ट में कोई देला (Air Set) बना है. उसे उँगलियों के दाब से तोड़ दें। ढेलों को चालनी पर रगड़ कर नहीं तोड़ना चाहिये।
- उपरोक्त सीमेन्ट को I.S. चालनी 90µ माइक्रोन पर डालकर, दोनों हाथों से चालनी थाम कर 15 मिनट तक सावधानीपूर्वक, हल्की गति से छाने।
- छानने के लिये यान्त्रिक छत्रक (Sieve Shaker) का भी उपयोग किया जा सकता है।
- अब चालनी पर रुके सीमेन्ट को सावधानी से तोल लें।
- यह अवशेष प्रतिदर्श की मात्रा का 10%(अर्थात् (10/100)x100 = 10gm) से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिये।
- यदि अधिक है तो सीमेन्ट मोटा है और कम होने पर यह अत्यधिक महीन पिसा है।
- प्रेक्षण व गणनायें(Observation):-

- परिणाम (Result):-
- अवशेष सीमेन्ट की मात्रा पूर्ति करता है। नहीं करता है। …….% है।
- सीमेन्ट (प्रतिदर्श) B.I.S. मानदण्डों की (अवशेष सीमेन्ट की मात्रा कुल प्रतिदर्श के भार का 10% से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए)
- सावधानियाँ (precaution):-
- वायु सैट सीमेन्ट के ढेलों को उँगलियों के दाब से तोड़ें। चालनी की जाली से मत रगड़े।
- प्रयोग से पहले तुला की शुद्धता की जाँच कर लें।
- छानने की क्रिया लगातार, परन्तु समान गति से होनी चाहिये।
- छानने के बाद चालनी की निचली तली (Bottom) से सीमेन्ट साफ कर लें।
