Elongation Index of Aggregate
मिलावे का लम्बोतरा सूचकांक परीक्षण
[I.S-2386 part(1)]
- उद्देश्य(Object):-
Elongation Index of Aggregate मिलावे का लम्बोतरा सुचकांक ज्ञात करना।
- सिद्धान्त(Theory):-
जब मिलावे के कणों की लम्बाई, उनके औसत परिमाप का 9/5 (अथबा 1.8 गुणा ) से अधिक होती है तो मिलावा लम्बोतरा कणों वाला कहलाता है। (औसत परिमाप जात करने की विधि प्रयोग में हम औसत परिमाप निकालते है) माना किसी कण का औसत माथ 22.5 mm है। यदि वह कण (22.5 x 9)/5 = 40.5 mm गेज से नाहीं निकल पाता है तो मिलावा लम्बोतरा कणों वाला कहलाता है।
औसत परिमाप:- 
जिस चालनी (Sieve) में मिलावा निकल जाए तथा जिस चालनी पर मिलावा रुक जाये, उन दोनों चालनिया का औसत मान मिलावे का औसत परिमाप कहलाता है। उदाहरण के तोर पर यदि कोई मिलावा 40 mm चालनी से निकल जाता परन्तु 50 mm की चालनी पर रुक जाता है तो औसत परिमाप (40+50 )/2= 45 होगा | अब यदि इस मिलावे का न्यूनतम परिमाप निकालें तो (45×9)/5=81 mm होगा अतः जो कण 81 mm गह से नहीं निकल्पाता तो बह कण लम्बोतरा कण कहलायगा |

लम्बोतरा सूचकांक के लिये अभी तक कोई सीमा निर्धारित नहीं है। मिलावे में लम्बोतरे कणों के कारण कंक्रीट में अधिक रिक्तियां बन जाती हैं जिनको भरने और कंक्रीट के सकर बनाने के लिये अधिक मात्रा में बालू, पानी व सीमेन्ट मिलाना पड़ता है।
Note:- लम्बोतरा परिक्षण भी 6.3 mm से कम माप के मिलावे पर नहीं किया जाता है |
- सामग्री:-
मोटा मिलावा जिसका लम्बोतरा सूचकांक ज्ञात करना है|
- उपकरण:-
- तुला
- मानक चालनी सेट(10 चालनी )
- लम्तबाई गेज
- विधि:-
- मिलावे को मानक चालानयों के सैट से छाने विभिन्न चालनियों पर रुकने वाले मिलावे को अलग- अलग पात्रों में भर ले। अब प्रत्येक भाग के मिलावे को लम्बाई गेज की सम्बन्धित कीलिनो के मध्य से पारित कराने का प्रयास करें। जो कण सम्बन्धित कीलियो के मध्य से नहीं निकल पाता है, लम्बोतरा कण के अन्तर्गत माना आयेगा।
- माना एक कण ।.S. चालनी 25 से निकल जाता है मरन्तु I .S. चालनी 20 पर रुक जाता है। इसका औसत परिमाप 22.5mm है और इसके लम्बोतरा होने के लिये इसका माप (22.5 X 9)/5 = 40.5 mm से अधिक होना चाहिये अर्थात् यह लम्बाई गेज की 40.5 mm दूरी पर स्थित कोलियो से नहीं निकलना चाहिये।
- अब सभी लम्बोलरे कणों को शुद्धता से तौल ले। मान लो इनका भार W2 gm है और मिलावा प्रतिदर्श का कुल भार w1 gm है।
- प्रेक्षण तालिका भरें और लम्बोतरा सूचकाक की गणना करें।

- परिणाम:-
लम्बोतरा सूचकांक (Elongation Index) = w2/w1 x 100 %
- सावधानियां-
- परीक्षण के लिये प्रत्येक भाग में कणों को संख्या 200 से कम नहीं होनी चाहिये।
- मिलावा पूर्णत: सूखा होना चाहिये।
- प्रत्येक भाग को शुद्धता से तौलें और तोलने के बाद उन्हीं पात्रों में भर दे जिनमें से उन्हें निकाला गया था, ताकि ये कण पत्रिल सूचकांक में काम आये।
- प्रत्येक चालनी पर रुके मिलावे को अलग-अलग पात्रों में भरकर, उनका औसत परिमाप अंकित कर दे।
