UNCONFINED COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH TEST
मृदा का अपरिरुद्ध संपीडन सामर्थ्य परिक्षण

- उद्देश्य(Object):-
Unconfined Compressive Strength Test की सहायता मृदा नमूने की अपरिरुद्द सम्पीडन सामर्थ्य ज्ञात करना।
- Soil Sample
- उपकरण(Apparatus):-
- अपरिरुद्ध सम्पीडन परीक्षण म गीन।
- प्रूविंग रिंग (Proving ring)
- क्षमता 50 kg या 100 kg।
- डॉयलमापी सुग्राहिता 0.01 mm.
- मृदा प्रतिदर्श यंत्र (Sampling tube: का आन्तरिक व्यास 38 mm तथा ल बाई 200 mml
- मृदा प्रतिदर्श से नमूना निकालने वाला यन्त्र (Sample extractor)
- सिद्धांत (Theory):-
मृदा के नमूने में भंग होते समय उस पर कार्य करने वाले सम्पीडन बल तथा उस समय के उसके अनुप्रस्थ क्षेत्रफल का अनुपात,
जबकि मृदा पर कोई पार्श्व दाब (Lateral pressure) कार्य नहीं कर रहा हो, उसकी अपरिरुद्ध सम्पीडन सामर्थ्य कहलाती है।

- विधि(Method):-
- क्षेत्र से लाये मृदा के नमूने को प्रतिदर्श यत्र से निकाल कर उसको आवश्यक लम्बाई का काट लो तथा किनारे काटकर ठीक कर दो।
- नमूने का व्यास व लम्बाई नापकर नोट कर लो।
- नमूने को उपकरण में यथा स्थान रखो तथा तब तक संपीडन बल लगाओ
- जब तक कि नमूना भंग न हो जाये अथवा उसका 20% विरूपण न हो जाये।
- सामान्यतः भंग होने पर संपीडन बल सूचक डायल की सुई अधिकतम दाब दिखाकर वापिस आने लगती है।
- कुछ मृदाओं में संपीडन बल दर्शाने वाली सूई वापिस नहीं आती।
- अत: पता नहीं चलता कि नमूना भंग हो गया है। ऐसी दशा में 20% विरूपण पर यह मान लेते हैं कि मृदा भंग हो गयी।
- संपीडन बल इस दर से लगना चाहिये कि नमूने का विरूपण 1/2% से 2% प्रति मिनट के बीच रहे।
- प्रेक्षण (Observation):-
S.r Particular Soil Sample I II 1 मृदा नमूने की परिक्षण के प्रारंभ मैं लम्बाई (L0)cm 2 मृदा नमूने का परिक्षण के प्रारंभ मैं व्यास (d0)cm मृदा नमूने का परिक्षण के प्रारंभ मैं क्षेत्रफल (A0)cm2 3 परिक्षण के बाद नमूने की लम्बाई (L1)cm 4 परिक्षण के बाद नमूने का व्यास (d1)cm 5 परिक्षण के बाद नमूने का क्षेत्रफल (A1)cm2 6 भंग होते समय सम्पेदन बल (P) kg 7 विकृति = [(L0 – L1)/L0] 8 अपरिरुद्ध संपीडन सामर्थ्य qu = P/A kg/cm2
- परिणाम (Result):-
अपरिरुद्ध संपीडन सामर्थ्य qu = …….. kg/cm2
- सावधानियाँ (Precautions):-
- नमूने को DISTURB होने से बचाना चाहिए
- नमूने क दोनों सिरे उपकरण मैं अच्छे प्रकार से बैठ जाने चाहिए
- बल को (CONSTANT RATE ) स्थिर दर से बढ़ाना चाहिए
