मिलावे का पत्रिल सूचकांक परीक्षण

[I.S-2386 part(1)]

  • उद्देश्य(Object):-

Flakiness Index of Aggregate मोटे मिलावे का पत्रिल (चपटापन ) सूचकाक ज्ञात करना। पह परीक्षण कंक्रीट  के लिये मोटे मिलावे की उपयुक्तता निर्धारित करने के लिये किया जाता है।

  • सिद्धान्त(Theory):-

मिलावे में पत्र ( चपेट) व लम्बोतरा कणों की उपस्थिति ठीक नहीं है, क्योंकि इन कणों की अधिकता के कारण मिलावे में रिक्तियां रह जाती है, जिन्हें भरने के लिए कंक्रीट में महीन मिलाजा अधिक प्रयोग करना पड़ता है। पत्रिल कणी का सतही क्षेत्रफल अपेक्षाकृत अधिक होता है। इसी कारण बाहित सुकरता (Workability) प्राप्त करने के लिये कंक्रीट में अधिक पानी डालना पड़ता है, जिससे इसको सामर्थ्य प्रभवित होती है। पत्रिल कण प्रायः समानान्तर परतो में जमकर स्तरीय रचना बनाते हैं। इससे कंक्रीट का टिकाऊपन भी प्रभावित होता है। अतः मिलावे में पत्रिल कणों की अधिकतम सीमा निर्धारित की गयी है।

पत्रिल मिलावा :-

जब मिलावे के कणों का न्यूनतम परिमाप (मोटाई) इसके औसत परिमार के 3/5 (0.6) गुना से कम हो, तब यह पत्रिल (चपटा) मिलावा कहलाता है।

पत्रिल  सूचकांक (Flakiness Index) = [पत्रिल कणों का भार /मिलावे का  कुल भार x 100]

 

पत्रिल सूचकांक

35%-40% से अधिक स्वीकार्य नहीं है , 6.3 mm से कम माप वाले मिलावे के लिए यह परिक्षण नहीं किया जाता है |

Note:- लम्बोतरा परिक्षण भी 6.3 mm से कम माप के मिलावे पर नहीं किया जाता है |

  • सामग्री:-

मोटा मिलावा जिसका पत्रिल  सूचकांक ज्ञात करना है|

  • उपकरण:-
  1. तुला
  2. मानक चालनी सेट(10 चालनी )
  3. लम्तबाई गेज
  • विधि:-

परीक्षण किये जाने वाले मिलावे की पर्याप्त मात्रा लें,उनकी संख्या कम से कम 200 हो। माना इस मिलावे का भार W1 gm है।ताकि जिस माप के कणों की जाँच करनी है। चालनियों को साइज के अनुसार क्रमवार लगाने और मिलावे को इन चालनियों से छाने। (उदाहरण के लिये 20mm आकार के मिलावे को क्रमवार निम्न चालनियों से छाना जायेगा-20mm, 16 mm,12.5 mm, 10 mm तथा 6.3mm)|विभिन्न चालनियों पर रुकने वाले मिलावे को अलग-अलग पात्रों में भर लें।अब प्रत्येक भाग के मिलावे की मोटाई गेज के अनुरूप प्रखांचे (Slot) से निकालें। जो मिलावा कण सम्बन्धित खांचे  से निकल जाता है, वह पत्रिल कण माना जायेगा अर्थात  I.S, 20 mm चालनी से निकल जाने वाला और I.S. 16 mm चालनी पर रुकने वाला मिलावा और जो (20+16)/2 x 3/5 =  10.80 से निकल जायगा बह पत्रिल मिलावा कहलायगा तथा जो नहीं निकल नहीं पय्र्गा बह अपत्रिल मिलावा कहलायगा |

माना सभी खांचे से निकले भारों का  योग W2 gm तथा प्रतिदर्श  W1 gm भार है |

  • परिणाम:-

पत्रिल चकांक (Flakiness Index) = w2/w1 x 100 %

  • सावधानियां-
  1. परीक्षण के लिये प्रत्येक भाग में कणों को संख्या 200 से कम नहीं होनी चाहिये।
  2. मिलावा पूर्णत: सूखा होना चाहिये।
  3. प्रत्येक भाग को शुद्धता से तौलें और तोलने के बाद उन्हीं पात्रों में भर दे जिनमें से उन्हें निकाला गया था, ताकि ये कण पत्रिल सूचकांक में काम आये।
  4.  प्रत्येक चालनी पर रुके मिलावे को अलग-अलग पात्रों में भरकर, उनका औसत परिमाप अंकित कर दे।
