Culvert(पुलिया):-
पुलिया 6m या 6m से कम span के बीच बनायी गयी सरंचना है । जल निकासी के उद्देश्य से पुलिया का उपयोग किया जाता है। इसका निर्माण वाहनों को एक छोटी सी धारा या नहरों पर ले जाने के लिए किया जाता है।
पुलिया का निर्माण आरसीसी, प्लास्टिक कंक्रीट, स्टील, उच्च घनत्व पॉलीथीन, एल्यूमीनियम आदि द्वारा किया जा सकता है। यह मिट्टी से जड़ा हुआ है।
सड़क मार्ग या रेलवे के नीचे स्थित हैं जिनका उपयोग बाढ़ और कटाव को रोकने के लिए किया जाता है।
पुलिया को ब्रिज के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। पुल पुलिया हो सकता है क्योंकि पुलिया के रूप में इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है लेकिन पुलिया का उपयोग पुल के रूप में नहीं किया जाता है।
